Wear insulated gloves and safety goggles. Gather tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, and appropriate cables. Select cable sizes according to the load requirements and manufacturer guidelines to prevent overloading .Step 2: Phase IdentificationIdentify the three phases from the incoming supply, typically labeled L1, L2, and L3, along with neutral (N) and earth (E). Proper labeling of each phase and terminal is crucial for maintenance and troubleshooting .Step 3: Main Protection DeviceInstall the MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker) as the main switch. Connect the incoming three-phase supply to the MCCB input terminals. The MCCB protects against overcurrent and short circuits .Step 4: Distribution to Output CircuitsFrom the MCCB output, connect the three phases to the input of the 3-pole MCBs for each load circuit. If required, install RCCBs after the MCCB to provide additional protection against earth faults. Connect the output of RCCBs to the MCBs, ensuring the RCCB rating matches or exceeds the MCCB rating .Step 5: Neutral and Earth ConnectionsConnect the neutral wire from the supply to the neutral busbar. If multiple neutral links exist, interconnect them. Similarly, connect the earth wire to the earth busbar, linking all earth connections from loads and the supply .Step 6: Load ConnectionsConnect each load to the output terminals of the corresponding MCBs. For single-phase loads, distribute them across the three phases to maintain load balance. Connect the load neutral to the neutral busbar and the load earth to the earth busbar .Step 7: Busbar and Wiring ConsiderationsUse busbars for high-current connections between the MCCB and MCBs instead of regular wires. Ensure all connections are tight, secure, and free of exposed conductors. Properly label all terminals and circuits for clarity .Step 8: Final ChecksDouble-check phase sequence, neutral, and earth connections, and verify that all protective devices are correctly rated. After confirming all connections, restore power and test each circuit for proper operation . By following these steps, the three-phase distribution box will be safely wired, with balanced load distribution, proper protection, and clear labeling for efficient operation and maintenance.
